Translingual
[edit]Symbol
[edit]ꞈ
- (IPA, dated) a low rising–falling tone.
- (UPA) a "tightening" (rounding?) of a consonant, as in sꞈ.(Can we verify(+) this sense?)
Usage notes
[edit](IPA): The mark is placed before the word or syllable that bears the tone. This symbol is effectively obsolete, having been replaced by Chao tone letters and tone diacritics.
