Etymology
[edit]From Sanskrit सृगाल (sṛgāla, “jackal”); another variations include 野干 (OC *ɦljaʔ kaːn), 野犴 (OC *ɦljaʔ ŋaːn), 豻 (OC *ŋaːn) and 悉伽羅 (MC sit gja la).
