[edit]Only reached its present form in the early twentieth century.[1] Ultimately from Middle Korean ᅀᆞᆸ〯 (Yale: -zǒp-, object-honorific suffix) + 사〮ᅌᅵ다〮 (Yale: -sángìtá, hortative suffix).
