Etymology
[edit]From Proto-Indo-Iranian *triHćát, from Proto-Indo-European *tridḱḿ̥t (“three-ten”). Cognate with Avestan 𐬚𐬭𐬌𐬯𐬀𐬙 (θrisat), Ancient Greek τριάκοντα (triákonta), Latin trīgintā.
