Literally, Feast of the Nativity, likely a calque of Arabic عِيد الْمِيلَاد (ʕīd al-mīlād); compare Hebrew חַג הַמּוֹלָד (khag hamolád) and the synonym ܒܝܬ ܝܠܕܐ (bêṯ yaldā), also used in Classical Syriac.
