козырёк
Appearance
(Redirected from козырек)
Russian
[edit]Etymology
[edit]Inherited from Middle Russian козырекъ (kozyrek) (att. 1630), from Middle Russian козырь (kozyrʹ), further origin unclear. By surface analysis, ко́зырь (kózyrʹ) + -ёк (-jók). Akin to regional (Bialostok) Polish kozyrek, but that is quite likely a Russian borrowing.
